A. Vocabulario: emotions (emociones)

Excited: entusiasmado

Relaxed: relajado

Worried:preocupado

Dissapointed: decepcionado

Angry: enfadado

Scare: asustado

Upset: triste

Surprised: sorprendido

B. PAST SIMPLE: Pasado simple: acciones que empezaron y acabaron en el pasado.

AFIRMATIVA

Past simple verb to be. 

I, he, she, it + was 

I was sad because christmas are over. 

Estaba triste porque las vacaciones terminaron. 

You, we, they + were

They were angry because of the weather.

Estaban enfadados por el tiempo. 

NEGATIVA

Past simple verb to be. 

I, he, she, it + was not

She was not excited for coming back to school. 

Ella no estaba entusiasmada por volver a la escuela.

You, we, they + were not

We were not surprised of your grades at the exam.

No estábamos sorprendidos por tus notas en el examen. 

INTERROGATIVA

Past simple verb to be. 

Was + I, he, she, it?

Was he at the cinema? 

¿Estaba él en el cine?  

Were you, we, they?

Were they at the school? 

¿Estaban en el cine? 

Respuestas: 

yes I was/no, I wasn't

yes, you were/no, you weren't. 

C. PAST SIMPLE THERE WAS/THERE WERE (HABÍA) 

Affirmative

Hay en singular/con nombres incontables: There was + singular countable nouns/uncountable nouns

There was a TV in the living room

Hay en plural: There was some sugar in the kitchen.

There were + plural nouns

There were some students in the classroom.

Negative

There wasn't any sugar in the kitchen.

There weren't any students in the classroom.

Questions: 

Was there ...?

Were there...?

Short answers:

Yes, there was/no, there wasn't

Yes, there were/no, there weren't
